Introduction
The political spectrum of our beloved nation, Malaysia, had been static for the past six decades due to the Constitution protecting the rights of the people to join a political party as illustrated in Article 10(1)(c) of the Federal Constitution in regard with the rights of an individual to form an association. In relation, by referring to the landmark case of Nordin bin Salleh, the Constitution even entails one’s liberty to hop from one party to the other even though the election had taken place. However, this precedent seemingly had been misused which can be inferred upon the current political scenario of our country that had been colorized with numerous changes of events specifically the transition of the government in power be it in the federal or state level that occurred because of several members of Parliament (MP) and assemblyman (ADUN) that had switch parties to form a new coalition, subsequently establishing a new government.
