ALSA International Collaboration Forum | Event Reflection!

Welcome, dear readers!

Last December, ALSA UiTM collaborated with ALSA UNAIR (from Universitas Airlangga) and ALSA Brunie to hold an online forum called International Collaboration Forum. It is long overdue but it is not too late for us to recap on what we managed to grasp from the event. The event was divided into two sessions. The first one was a talk by Prof Sam Blay.

The talk was so heart-touching but the phrase that caught our attention the most was when he encouraged us to never be afraid to try everything and challenge ourselves every day. He added, we have nothing to lose. Join all the competitions, try all the new things. The moment we signed up, we have already won. We win, even when we didn't win.

Prof Sam Blay ended the talk by adding, the only thing we should fear, is FEAR itself. That gave us some boost of confidence and energy to take that leap of faith and try everything even if it's new or foreign to us.

We hope this might inspire you as well!

Then, for the second session, we had speakers from Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia give us a talk on the diverse possibilities of our current online education methods and our future career paths amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We had Ms Azah Yasmin from Malaysia, Mr Dadang Trisongko from Indonesia, Dr Ahmad Ma'sum and Ms Sabrina Hj Mahmud from Brunei. It was an honour to have a line of respectable and distinguished speakers to share at our event.

We also had a great time networking and bonding with students from other universities who participated in the Networking Session! We also would like to take this chance to extend our gratitude to all organising committee who worked hard in making this event a successful event. To many more events in the future!

Stay safe and take care.

Cheers,

ALSA UiTM.
